Starter Flocks, Ewes, Rams,Shearlings & Lambs

The 'Wattles Pedigree Flock' in Somerset was established in 2002. They have good bloodlines, our foundation ram, Creedy Camelot, was the Breed Champion Wiltshire Horn at the Bath and West in 2005; and female bloodlines include Boxes and Kelletswood.

Pedigree Rams, Ewes, Shearlings and 'Starter Flocks', (normally comprising: a ewe lamb, a shearling ewe, 2 older ewes and a registered unrelated ram-lamb), of easy care, award winning, Wiltshire Horn sheep are available now at very competitive prices. We have superb quality shearling ewes and rams for sale plus some older ewes. These sheep do not require shearing as they loose their coats naturally in spring so require less maintenance than other breeds. They are excellent for all year round grazing of small fields and paddocks. The ewes are very good mothers and young lambs have a remarkable vitality at birth. The Wattles flock is trained to come to a bucket making rounding-up easier. Sheep are breed by us and live on a farm run on sustainable lines, no chemicals are used on the land, and, minimal medication is use on the stock guided by the veterinary. All forage is home grown.

All our sheep ‘Heptavac P Plus’ and ‘Blue Tongue’ vaccinated. Local delivery possible.

To date, we have sold many pedigree ‘starter flocks’ to small-holders within Dorset and Somerset; and, pedigree stock rams, ewe-lambs, shearling-ewes and older ewes to established farms in the South West including, a 18 sheep 'starter flock' to the National Trust's Broadclyst Community Farm based on their Killerton Estate in Broadclyst.
